- Replace the original Swat 3 movies with the XVID replacement movies.
- Run the game so that you get the infamous Direct X error with the replacement movies. Note the time.
- Use the tutorial below to look for the reason of the crash. The errors are logged by time they occur.

Please note:
The error that the original movies give should be different than the XVID movie error.

Hmmm, not sure why. If all the steps were done carefully something should show up.
You didn't even see the error for the original movies 2 posts back?
I need to research if different log levels can be set on Windows 7. Perhaps your system isn't logging as much. Perhaps a filter is stopping it from being shown.

Sorry for delayed response. Weekends are my gaming days with friends so aren't very productive, lol.
I still need to research about Windows 7 logging. Sorry.

Question: would you be willing to send me a copy of your error log file?
If you are willing, here is information how to do that.

TIP: you must be logged into your admin account with Windows to see all the application errors (according to what I have read on the internet).
TIP: if you do .zip the file up it should compress from about 7 megs down to 800kb
