Another option could be remove the loading text from the strings.dat and just make it part of the new loading image.

Something like that, I've never been a great GFX guy... just an idea though, something that matches SWAT that is nice and simple where it wouldn't take too long to replace each screen, bit too much space unused at the top but its 4AM I should be getting to bed not toying with SWAT.

Do we have the font SWAT uses?

Could go crazy and actually put some briefing info, maybe throw up images of the suspects and such but that would take way more time to do per map.

Redoing all the load screens would bloat the mod in size. It probably would increase it by about 30-45 mb as a rough guess. I wish they had chosen image formats with compression.

Took another look at this, instead of doing a hex edit, did a texture edit, was looking around and found "Baz_20pt_Lt_BLUE_Estab" which as far as I can tell is only used for the Loading Screen, so hacky solution, increased the height and moved the font to the bottom.

I found the function that handles the Map Loading images. Been hitting it hard for about 2 hours a day past 3 days..

Also been studying the de-compiled source code to see how it all works.
