Has anyone noticed on the sewers level than when you request a West Entry point you get put at the East one? And Vice versa? 

Anyway. Have a great day. 

Could this be fixed by recompiling a map?

Never noticed but will try to remember to check it out. That would be hysterical if after all these years you are the first to notice this error in the game.

This sounds like it would be a real easy fix too. At worst it would a simple edit of the .SCN file and at best it would be just a .DAT file change.

(I disabled Last Resort), Chose East, and then I get put at the T junction (no bomb). Which is incorrect.

The T junction is the West (the north symbol is in a reverse orientation).
The right angle (with the bombs) is the East.



Only taken 20 years to find. :D

(for the record if anyone half reads this thread the bug found is with the original game, not the Last Resort mod).

Below is the graphic that only shows up when people are doing the single player campaign/career mode.

I added some white text to the image to clarify the directions since it is upside down by the compass.

 

West is the T Junction you are correct.  It is indeed backward in the game, lol.   I wonder if making the above graphic upside down that caused the mistake later in development.

UPDATE1:  Looks like an easy fix in MAPS.DAT

The following are commented notes in that file:
   
//Mission R, entry #0, stairwell with bars . " East Campus "
//Mission R, entry #1 stairwell withOUT bars . " West Campus "

I guess they mean once you are at the bottom of the stairs because both spawn points have bars you have to open at the top.  You can see that they confused the entry points right here in the .DAT file.



UPDATE2:  After a bit of poking around I think the fix would actually be in the MENUSTRINGS.DAT file.

MissionR0          East Campus
MissionR0Short     E. Campus
MissionR1          West Campus
MissionR1Short     W. Campus



UPDATE3: If you simply change the directions mentioned above (that are contained in MENUSTRINGS.DAT) it will fix the bug.

You can download (if you want) the small mod SewerFix.zip that I attached to this post.  Drop into mod folder and activate.
This fix will be included in the next release of the Last Resort mod.

Thank you so much for the fix. It was only because I was "cheating" with the map during a "let's play" that I noticed it.

I love the progress you have made with this.
