Setting up Last Resort Mod issues was created by jimbo
I'm trying to set up the Last Resort Mod for my old CD-ROM version of Swat 3. Everything seems to be working fine until I hit Save and Launch Swat 3. Then an error message pops up titled: swat.exe Rename Error.
It reads,
"Sorry, an error has occurred determining the current file swat.exe before launching the game.
Error code: 58 - File already exists
What should I do?
Thanks

Sorry for the troubles. This bug is something I noticed that will be fixed in the next release.
* First of all try making sure the Last Resort Launcher is running with admin powers. See if that resolves your problem.
* Double check that the toggle switch on the Last Resort Launcher is set to ON (top right of launcher)
* If that doesn't fix it then please look in your Swat 3 folder. You should have the following files (among others):
swat.exe
swat_800x600.exe
swat_1024x768.exe
swat_1280x1024.exe
swat_1440x900.exe
swat_1920x1080.exe
You may also have the file "swat_original.exe"
Please check which ones you have and if you are missing any of them.
I suspect you will have both "swat.exe" and "swat_original.exe" and this is the source of your problem. If you find you have all of the files I have listed above and both "swat.exe" and "swat_original.exe" are identical file sizes then you can manually delete the "swat_original.exe".
After you this you should be good. Please let me know if this resolves your issue and/or if the problem reoccurs in the future.

I'll try giving it admin powers.
As for the files, I'm not sure if I have those because they're all under different names. All the files I have include:
SWAT3 Tactics
Scenario Editor
SWAT3 MOD
SWAT3
Uninstall SWAT3
ReadMe
Register SWAT3
SWAT3 Website
Also, I forgot to mention. When I open the SWAT 3 LAST RESORT MOD, it says, "The file 'Swat.cfg' is damaged. The last resort launcher will generate a new config file but some setting will be lost."
Also, I've downloaded, uninstalled and redownloaded swat 3 a few times. Maybe there's some extra files somewhere. Would that have anything to do with it?

All the files I mentioned in my post should be in the Swat 3 folder after you have installed the Last Resort mod.

I don't see any of the files you mentioned. Only see the ones I mentioned, plus 3 from the mod:
Swat 3 - Last Resort Launcher
Swat 3 - Last Resort Read Me
Uninstall - Swat 3 Last Resort
Maybe I'm not looking in the right place.
Also, giving it admin powers didn't work

Sounds like you are in the right folder. Do you also see the Swat 3 movies in that folder?
career_lost.avi
career_won.avi
default.avi
(there are 24 movie files in total)
