Don't know if you remember me but..
Googled this mod out of pure nostalgia and noticed the site is still up and progress is being made. Awesome job and a great show of perseverance. Hope to try it out sometime soon!

The mod is still in progress and I haven't given up on it yet. Real life work gets in the way so generally I work on it more during the winter when I am off.
The last thing I was working on the mod was to give it NeuWon support. This will allow us to play Swat 3 online again without the need for 3rd party LAN apps.

Can't wait. All these vlan tools either not working for reasons I don't understand, the working ones dying out...

I don't have a gaming PC at the moment (just a macbook) but when I get a setup I'll check back and give it a play...

Ya, I take long breaks from the mod so although I have been plugging away at it for 10 years if you condensed the time into one chunk it would probably be about several months, lol.
I spend way too much time on the UI graphics and LR Launcher code compared to texture improvement. I really need to get back to textures so users can see more benefit to using the mod.
I know it seems kind of pathetic to work on a 20 year old game but it feeds my creativity when I am in the mood for it. I get to play with Photoshop, Visual Studio, website design, etc.

Not really. Just look it as keeping the faith.
Modern gaming just gets stranger and stranger, more convoluted, more precarious, tedious and utterly alien. But despite all that we still have our old games and SWAT3 in particular. It's like the golden age of PC gaming never left.
