16-Bit Color Error

Hello!

I have followed all the steps on the video titled: How To: Play SWAT 3 on Windows 10 with Minimal FPS Loss using dgVoodoo. I've done everything correctly, but I keep on getting this error: 'Sorry, this program needs 16-bit color mode'. Then it crashes and never starts. If I disable the DGVoodoo (By deleting those three contents out of the folder), the game runs, but with a very poor frame rate. I think there is some issues with the game and the DGVoodoo, and somehow it is not running in 16-bit mode despite forcing it to run with it. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thank You

I really need to revisit the dgVoodoo tutorial sometime because the program has been updated so much.

We have encountered some systems that don't like dgVoodoo. Your mobile video could be one of those. You may need to try WineD3D instead to get a better frame rate:

Thank you! Works quite well. At the start of each mission, it has low frame rate; But after 10-20 seconds pass, it smooths out to 60 and seems to stay at a constant 60.

Nice. Glad that works at least.

If you are using the Last Resort mod the higher the 2D menu resolution that you choose the lower the framerate you may get when viewing the game's 2D menus. It may not be a problem for you now that you have WineD3D working.

When not using the WineD3D the menus was perfectly fine. It was only the 3D portion of the game.
