Swat 3 frame-rate windows 10 was created by Bolgo6
Hello everybody!
I searched the forum for related topics and I did't find anything so hopefully this isn't old news.
My framerate in this game is around 15-17 fps however when I disable the command menu with "M" I get 30-40 fps so Its playable.
On windows 7 the game runs at 60fps with the Last Resort Mod and without any additional fixes on the same PC.
Now on windows 10 when I use
Dgvoodoo I get the following message 'Sorry this program requires 16-color mode to run' and crashes.
WineD3D I get a white screen and I'm forced exit the game with alt+f4 and I'm unable to run the game after that, I get the 16-bit error.
Dxwin simply freezes.
Also something I noticed In windows 7 is that the command menu and item menu (with space) was bigger, now on windows 10 its way smaller. Could that have to do something with the fps? If it was bigger would it fix the problem?
I use Windows 10 64 bit.
Hopefully I cold help somebody with this so I decided to post it here.

If you are using the Last Resort mod the larger the resolution you choose for the 2D menus the slower the 2D menus will be in terms of FPS. Luckily I can use DgVoodoo to bring my frame rate back up so I can choose the largest resolution without an FPS hit.
The command menu and item menu only appear smaller because I suspect you have chosen a higher resolution on the 3D tab of the Last Resort Launcher. Again if you are having the typical Windows 10 framerate issues then a higher resolution setting in 3D will have a frame hit.
Sadly the ultimate culprit is Windows 10 only emulating 16-bit colour in 32-bits. At this point all I can recommend is a lower resolution on both the 2D and 3D tabs of Last Resort launcher and try your best to try to get DgVoodoo working.
May I ask what video card you are using? Nvidia or AMD?

I was using the Last Resort mod every time I played the game. I set all resolutions to the lowest available but still no performance boost.
Hopefully I will figure out something with dgvoodoo I used it on many old games and it always worked
I have a Radeon 7310
